Universities Announce Student Achievements

MILWAUKEE, Wis. 02/04/2013 - The following local students graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.:

Brian Chandler of Cary, IL. Chandler earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Amanda Burrows of Prairie Grove, IL. Burrows earned a Master of Science in Human Resources.

These students were among the nearly 450 undergraduate and graduate students who participated in the Dec. 16, 2012 graduation ceremony at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

LAWRENCE, Kansas 2/19/2013 - The University of Kansas announced its honor roll distinction for the fall 2012 semester.

Nicole Schuh, of Cary, was named to the honor roll list. Schuh is the daughter of William and Elizabeth Schuh of Cary. She attended Cary-Grove Community High School. Schuh, a freshman at KU, was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

HOUGHTON, Mich. 2/14/2013 - Michigan Technological University has released the Dean's List for the 2012 fall semester. Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher to make the list. Those earning straight A averages of 4.0 are indicated by asterisks.

Among the honorees are the following local students:

Cary: Leah Harrison, Applied Ecology and Environmental Sciences.

Crystal Lake: Angela Rubeck, Electrical Engineering.*

AURORA 2/11/2013- Aurora University congratulates the 819 undergraduate students who earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2012 semester.

The high honors list recognizes students who attain a 4.0 grade-point average while completing at least 12 credit hours during the semester. The regular honors list recognizes students who achieve a GPA of 3.6 to 3.99.
