Cary Library Offers Online Program to Help Learn New Languages

English, Spanish, Italian, German and French are offered, with Mandarin Chinese coming soon.

The announces its recent subscription to the world’s number one language course for kids, MUZZY.

Kids of all ages can learn a second (or third!) language using video clips, online games and exercises that can be repeated as often as needed.

This new, self-directed, thematically organized format makes it easy to track progress and can even help reinforce classroom learning.

The program is free to Cary Library cardholders and includes more than 100 video clips and activities organized into 12 themes such as “Greetings,” “Likes and Dislikes,” “Questions,” and more.

To get started on a lesson, click “play all”, then choose the kind of learning you’d like.

Languages currently available for study are English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Mandarin Chinese is coming soon. Each lesson also includes printable versions of the video story book, exercises, and vocabulary lessons.

Log onto the library’s website and have your Cary Area Public Library card handy to enter the MUZZY program and start exploring languages that can open new doors of opportunity and fun for your child.
