New Full-Day Kindergarten Popular Within D-47

The full-day kindergarten option will be offered for the first time during the 2013-2014 school year, according to the Northwest Herald.

A new all-day program has been a popular option for parents enrolling their children in kindergarten within District 47. 

So far, 86 percent of kindergarten enrollees within District 47 are signed up for the full-day program for the 2013-2014 school year, which is the first year the all-day option will be available, according to the Northwest Herald. Of the 473 enrolled in full-day kindergarten, 113 have enrolled for the dual-language program, according to the article.
