MCC to Offer Professional Organizer Class

MCC will host the class beginning Sept. 3 through Sept. 12.

The below information came from a McHenry County College press release. 

McHenry County College (MCC) will offer a Professional Organizer class from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning September 3 through September 12 in Room A103 at MCC. The college is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.

This 12-hour class is ideal for those who have a knack for organizing, enjoy helping people and want to start a new career as a professional organizer—working the hours they want. This class is also intended for anyone looking to get new ideas on how to get their own life organized.

Taught by a professional member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), participants will learn what type of people create clutter, how to purge and declutter areas of homes, how to organize paperwork and offices, how to help with moving and downsizing of homes. Tips to keep kids organized are also included.  After learning the basics, students will learn the process of setting up their own business, how to build a website and what to expect on a day-to-day basis of being a professional organizer.

Interior designers and kitchen designers will gain insight into how to not only make a client’s home beautiful, but also functional.

Home stagers and realtors will learn how to maximize spaces and present their clients with a home that prospective buyers will immediately fall in love with and professional movers will learn techniques to help with the ease of a client’s move, especially elderly clients.
