MCC Announces Academic Honors for Student/Athletes

Student/Athletes show great results in the classroom.

athletics announced that 43 student-athletes will be receiving academic recognitions for the fall semester 2011.

Academic recognition includes student-athletes earning a 3.00 GPA or higher in the fall term and/or a cumulative 3.00 GPA.

Athletes with grade-point averages of 4.00 along with receiving MCC special academic commendation are Ashley Donahue (women’s tennis), Nick Richter (baseball) and Jake Rogers (men’s tennis).

Athletes with grade-point averages of 3.50-3.99 and receiving MCC academic gold recognition are: Kaitlyn Bliss (softball), Tyler Davila (baseball), Tanner Funke (baseball), Marcos Gonzalez (soccer), Alyssa Haayer (women’s basketball), Nick Kostalek (baseball), Erica Mejia (women’s basketball), Mitch Noncek (baseball), Brianna Roeser (women’s tennis), Joe Ross (baseball) and Elizabeth Serowka (women’s tennis).

Athletes with grade-point averages of 3.00-3.49 and receiving academic silver recognition are: Jeremy Ahillen (baseball), Amanda Appner (women’s basketball), Hamza Bounouader (soccer), LaNeysha Campbell (women’s basketball), Adam Enwiya (baseball), Cheyenne Faanes (volleyball), Joseph Ferguson (soccer), Nyssa Fetzner (women’s tennis), Scott Franzgrote (baseball), Richard Gonzaga (men’s basketball), Jerrica Graham (women’s basketball), Justin Henderson (baseball), Tyler Jameson (volleyball), Rafael Juarez (soccer), Fedor Larin (soccer), Robert Lawrence (soccer), Miguel Loera (soccer), Tyler Loesher (baseball), Chase Matheson (baseball), Matthew Miller (men’s tennis), Amber Morris (women’s basketball), Ashley Pietrusiak (women’s tennis), Joe Ray (baseball), Tanner Sandall (baseball), Katlin Schillinger (softball), Gabriela Sexson (volleyball), Timothy Stephens (baseball), Erin Stojan (volleyball), Patrick Towne (baseball).
