D-26 to Hold Special Finance Meeting

On Tuesday, Feb. 22, School District 26 will have a follow-up meeting from last week's finance committee meeting.

D-26 will meet Tuesday, Feb. 22 for its regular community engagement committee meeting, followed by  special meetings in the finance committee and Board of Education.

In the community engagement committee they will provided updates on the climate survey, panel member replacement and the wish list presentation to the Cary Education Foundation. The committee will also have discussions on the and impact on the reduced school day

The finance committee will begin directly after the community engagement committee, to the abatement resolution, fiscal year 2012 and the proposed reduction list, which long discussions on these items, prompted the special meeting.

Committee members will also discuss the amended budget for Fiscal Year 2011, Cary Park District Inter-governmental agreement and a property update.

The Board of Education will finish off the night with a special meeting to discuss a resolution abating a portion of taxes levied for the payment of bonds and will proceed into a closed session, to discussion teacher contracts'.

All meetings will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Cary Junior High School, located at 2109 Crystal Lake Road

Community Engagement Committee: 6 p.m.

Special Finance Committee: 7 p.m.

Special Board of Education meeting: 8 p.m.
