D-26 Board, Teachers' Union Reach Tentative Agreement

Late Wednesday night, the Cary School District 26 and the Cary Education Association has reached an agreement, more details to come after ratification.

After many months of negotiating on a new contract between and the Cary Education Association, both sides has reached an tentative agreement to resolve significant financial issues, a joint press release said.

The board and the teachers' union are "optimistic" on coming to a full agreement on all remaining issues, the release said.

A meeting has been set for next week, so both parties can address all remaining issues.
