D-26 Board of Education to Address Community Questions

Cary School District 26 policy, finance committees will meet to discuss pension reform and fiscal year 2012 school fees.

After a short break, Cary School District 26 Board of Education and its committees will get back to their regular schedule of meetings.

Tonight, the district's policy and finance committees will meet to discuss polices affecting teachers and students, while the finance committee will address community questions, school fees for fiscal year 2012 and draft a Maplewood property sale resolution. 

The policy committee wills plans to provide an update of legislature affecting the district and along with discussion on pension reform.

During the treasurer’s report, T. Ferrier, director of finance and operations will address questions that were sparked by the "District 26 Parents With A Voice" Facebook group, which is monitored by former community engagement members Ken Hillman Katari Bender.

Ferrier plans to explain the reconciliations for the bond payments, budget comparisons between fiscal year 2010, the 2011 budget and 2011 amended budget.

The policy committee meets at 5:30 p.m. followed by the finance committee, which meets at 7 p.m. April 11 at Cary Junior High School, 2109 Crystal Lake Rd.
