Crystal Lake South Homecoming Parade

Crystal Lake South High School held its Homecoming Parade on Friday afternoon.

What a beautiful day for a parade... and a football game, too!

Crystal Lake South High School held its school pep rally and Homecoming Parade on Friday afternoon. Several school athletic teams and clubs decorated floats for the celebration.

Parade entries included athletic teams from Gator football, volleyball, golf, cross country, hockey, tennis, lacrosse, cheer and poms.

School organizations and clubs were well represented in the parade including the CL South marching band, color guard, Key Club, Best Buddies Club and Spanish Club.

The nominees for the Homecoming King and Queen also were honored in the celebration.

The Gator parade started at Woodscreek Park and traveled along Golf Course Road, ending at Crystal Lake South High School, where some families enjoyed tailgating until the football games began.

The Gators Varsity team ended the night with a big victory over Johnsburg High School. The final score was Gators 27, and Johnsburg 0.
