CL South Celebrates Homecoming Weekend

Gators hold pep rally, homecoming parade, football games and dance in honor of Homecoming weekend.

 

Crystal Lake South High School is the first of the District 155 schools to hold its homecoming festivities.

The Gators will celebrate homecoming today and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22. The theme of this year's event is "Super Heroes."

Crystal Lake South will hold a student pep assembly Friday afternoon at the school, followed by the annual parade. The parade is scheduled to start at 3:40 p.m.

Parade participants will line up near Woodscreek Park, corner of Ackman and Golf Course roads. The parade route will travel north on Golf Course Road and then east toward the high school.

At 5 p.m. the Gators sophomore football team will take on the McHenry High School Warriors, followed by the varsity match up at 7:15 p.m. at Ken Bruhn Field.

The student dance will held Saturday night at the school.

Crystal Lake Central High School has planned its homecoming festivities for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29.

Prairie Ridge and Cary-Grove high schools have both scheduled their homecoming events for Saturday, Oct. 6.
