Crystal Lake, Cary: School Canceled Again for Tuesday
No school again on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for students in Crystal Lake, Cary, Algonquin, and Prairie Grove.
The extreme cold temperatures are forcing the closure of area schools for a second day.
Local school districts at noon Monday already began notifying parents and students of school cancelations for Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Here is the list of closures so far:
- Crystal Lake Community School District 47 and Extended Time
- Cary School District 26
- Community High School District 155 and all after-school activities
- Prairie Grove School District 46
- Community Unit School District 300 serving Algonquin, LITH, Dundee, Carpentersville, Hampshire
- Consolidated School District 158 serving Huntley, Algonquin
- Lord and Savior Lutheran School in Crystal Lake
- St. John's Lutheran School in Algonquin
- Fox River Grove District 3
- Sts. Peter and Paul School in Cary
- Trinity Oaks Christian Academy
- Immanuel Lutheran School in Crystal Lake
- Marengo Elementary District 165
- Marengo High School District 154
