Crystal Lake Central Tigers Beat Grant Bulldogs 30-13

The Tigers varsity football team will make its first trip to the quarterfinals next week, the Northwest Herald reports.

The Crystal Lake Central varsity football team beat the Grant Bulldogs last night at Metcalf field in Crystal Lake in the second round of the Illinois High School Class 5A playoffs.

The no. 4 seeded Tigers (9-2) beat the no. 5 seeded Bulldogs, paving the way for their first trip to the quarterfinals next week.

Central will play the winner of today's ( 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3) game between number-one seeded Cary-Grove (10-0) and No. 8 Chicago St. Patrick (7-3), according to the Herald.

The Tigers broke their postgame huddle with one chant, "History!" the Herald article stated.

Go Tigers! And Go Cary-Grove because it would be awesome to have an inter-district game!
