CL South and CL Central Poms Competing Downstate Friday

Crystal Lake South and Crystal Lake Central's varsity dance/ poms squads are among five teams from McHenry County traveling to Bloomington today to compete in the first-ever IHSA competitive dance state finals, the Northwest Herald reports.

South's Gator team, champions of the FVC Valley Division, and the Central Tiger squad, champions of the FVC Fox Division, will compete in the preliminaries later today at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, the Herald reports.
Teams from Jacobs, Woodstock North and Johnsburg are also making the trip. In all, 30 teams are competing in each of three divisions. The top 10 finishers in each division will advance to the finals on Saturday, the Herald reports.
