Cary Band to Host Annual Pops Concert

Cary Junior High's presents its first band concert of the year.

The band is set to perform popular music from movies, famous classical works and other well-known artists at its first concert of the year. 

Under the direction of David Brachmann, the symphonic band selections will include highlights from Harry Potter movies, the Raiders March from Raiders of the Lost Arc and selections from The Planets suite by Gustav Holst.

Brachmann also directs the jazz band, which will play popular tunes, such as Brown-Eyed Girl and Don't Stop Believin'.

The Cary Junior High glee club will also be a special guest at the concert and will perform a couple of tunes.

The annual concert will be at 7 p.m. March 15 in the Cary Junior High School gym, 2109 Crystal Lake Rd.
