Cary-Grove Wins First Summer-League Playoff Game

Trojans beat team from Lake Villa.

Under a sweltering sun, in summer-league play, Cary-Grove High School beat Lakes Community High School 12-5 Monday afternoon.

Andrew Brierton, who will be a junior, had seven RBIs on the day. He hit two home runs, one a grand slam.

The Trojans will play Warren Township High School 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cary-Grove.
