Cary District 26 Looking to Hire Teachers for Art, Music, P.E.

The District 26 School Board is expected to vote on hiring 12 teachers for these special subjects in February.

Cary Elementary School District 26 officials on Tuesday reviewed a preliminary staffing plan for next year that would bring back teachers for music, art and physical education classes, the Northwest Herald reports.

Those plans call for adding 12 teachers for music, art, P.E. for K-5 grades, and language arts classes for junior high students. Kindergarteners through fifth-graders would have P.E. twice a week; and art and music classes once each per week. The District 26 School Board is expected to vote on the plan in February, the Herald reports.
