Brother, Sister to Play in Youth Superbowl

Tons of Football this weekend. The Cary Junior Trojans have five teams heading to the Superbowl.

Kyle and Emily Lukowski of Cary are brother and sister for most but for close friends, family and their extended Cary Junior Trojans teammates.

It's their love of football that really bonds them together.

Kyle, a 4th grader at is working on his fifth year with the Cary Junior Trojan Program and Emily, a second grader at Briargate is in her third year. Both started with the flag program and both are now in the tackle program.

Kyle plays for Bob Baird on the Featherweight PAC-10 Black team, which finished 8-1 in the regular season.

Emily plays for Jim Hepler on the Bantam MAC-10 team, which finished 8-1 in the regular season as well.

Kyle plays defensive and offensive line, but has played running back toward the end of the year and has scored a touchdown.

Emily plays defensive tackle and now offensive tight end.  She also plays running back on occasion.

The Featherweight PAC-10 Black Team will be facing Lake Zurich at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Barrington High School.

The Bantam MAC-10 will face Bartlett at 2 p.m., Saturday at Lake Barrington Field House.

Both teams are playing for Super Bowl honors.
