Walsh Kicks Off Town Hall Tour Tonight

Congressman Joe Walsh, R-McHenry, will kick off a "Ten Town Halls in Ten Days Tour" tonight with a stop in Wauconda.

The tour comes in the days after media reports revealed Walsh, who represents the eighth congressional district, owed his .

The purpose of this town hall tour, according to a press release from Walsh's office, will be to answer any questions or concerns about federal legislation. 

“I was sent to Washington to represent the people of the 8th District of Illinois, and it’s critical that I spend as much time as possible back hometo hear what they have to say,” said Walsh in the press release. “To date I have already held over forty town halls, and plan on holding more town halls this recess than any other Member of Congress. These Town Hall meetings give me the opportunity to make sure I am hearing the voices, ideas, and concerns of my constituents, while giving constituents the opportunity to learn about what has been happening in Washington. Hearing directly from them helps me accomplish my goal of putting the power back where it belongs: in the hands of the people.”
