Trout Valley Seeks Cary Police Coverage

Trout Valley officials exploring the possibility of having Cary handle its police service.

Trout Valley officials have pitched the idea of having its neighbor, the village of Cary, handle its police services, the Northwest Herald reports. Trout Valley is currently under the watch of a private security firm, which does not have law enforcement authority.

The small village, located between Cary-Algonquin Road and the Fox River, is under the jurisdiction of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, which conducts some patrols in the area, the Herald reports.

The discussion about having Cary extend police coverage to Trout Valley comes up every few years, the story states.
