The city of Crystal Lake has made sandbags available free of charge for residents experiencing flooding from today's heavy rains, according to a city of Crystal Lake press release.
The sandbags are currently available at the City Hall Public Works garage, 100 W. Woodstock St. in Crystal Lake, according to the news release.
The city is currently responding to issues caused by the heavy rains. Any residents experiencing issues from roadway flooding or basement back-ups should call the public works department at 815-356-3614.
A listing of road closures in Crystal Lake will be displayed on the city's website.
