Republicans Gear Up For Gingrich Visit

Former House Speaker headlining Palatine Township Republican Organization's Lincoln Day Dinner.

Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will headline the Palatine Township Republican Organization's Lincoln Day Dinner Wednesday, March 14.

Party officials said Gingrich's planned visit had boosted ticket sales for the dinner, but some tickets still were available for the event the reception will begin at 6 p.m. at , 360 S. Creekside Drive in Palatine.

Gingrich also has planned several stops in Illinois on March 14 and March 15. Gingrich's Illinois visits will come one day after primaries in Mississippi and Alabama. Gingrich finished second in those states and Rick Santorum finished first. Frontrunner Mitt Romney finished third in both states.

The Palatine Township Republican Organization did not issue an endorsement in the presidential primary, but it has suggested that Republicans vote for Gingrich.

Also attending the Lincoln Day Dinner will be Congressmen Aaron Schock, Robert Dold, Peter Roskam and Joe Walsh.
