Democrats To Host Congressional Candidates Forum

The Palatine Township Democratic Organization will host a candidates forum for the 6th and 8th congressional districts.

Palatine Township Democratic Organization will host a Candidates Forum for 6th and 8th District Congressional Candidates.

All other candidates are welcome to attend the networking times set aside for voters to meet Democratic candidates.

The forum will be Jan. 21, 2012 at the , 700 West North Court. The library is handicap accessible and has underground parking available.

The forum will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will be moderated by Hal Snyder MD.

Invited guests from the 6th Congressional District include Leslie Cooledge, Geoffrey Petzel, Tim Ritter and Maureen Yates. The 8th   Congressional District candidates include Tammy Duckworth and Raja Krishnamoorthi.

The newly drawn 6th Congressional District includes portions of Palatine, Lake Zurich, Cary, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills and Barrington. The newly drawn 8th Congressional District includes portions of Palatine and Buffalo Grove. The Illinois State Board of Elections has an interactive map with details of Congressional district boundaries.

Palatine Township Democratic Organization membership is open to registered Democrats and Independents. Palatine/Wheeling Township Democratic Office is located at 1310 W. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. The members of the Palatine Township Democratic Organization strive to be the voice of progressive Democratic solutions in the northwest suburbs.

Great to see the Democrats get out there and tell their story. We really need to replace the do-nothing obstructionist Republicon members of Congress.
