McSweeney Endorses Charles Lutzow, Jr., for Algonquin Township Clerk

52nd District State Representative David McSweeney endorses Charles A. Lutzow, Jr. for Algonquin Township Clerk.


State Representative David McSweeney on Tuesday announced his endorsement of Chuck Lutzow, Jr., for Algonquin Township Clerk, according to a press release issued by Lutzow.

The Republican Primary election is this Tuesday, Feb. 26. Lutzow is running against Linda Lance, who is currently an Algonquin Township trustee.

In his endorsement, McSweeney said Lutzow shares his vision for lower taxes, according to the press release.

“I am confident that Chuck will make a great addition to Algonquin Township if elected. He shares my vision of lower taxes, and a smaller more accountable form of government.  I strongly support and endorse Charles A. Lutzow, Jr. for Algonquin Township Clerk.”

Lutzow has served as an elected official in both municipal and township governments in the past.

“I am honored and proud to have received the Representative’s endorsement," he said. "David is truly an independent, conservative voice. In Springfield, he is not afraid to take on the tough issues facing Illinois, such as pension reform and government spending.”

Lutzow has lived in Algonquin Township for over 20 years. 

He is President of CAL Financial Group, Inc., a merger & acquisition firm, and CAL Financial Inc., an insurance firm.

He has earned the following prestigious designations: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College, Certified Funds Specialist (CFS) from the Institute of Business & Finance.

He has been married to his wife Darlene for 26 years and the couple have three children: Alex, Cara & Clayton.
