McHenry County Board Results - District 5 (Republican)

With provisional and late absentee ballots still outstanding, the race for the Republican ticket for the McHenry County Board District 5 is too close to call.

With four spots available, Michael Skala, John Jung and Tina Hill locked up the top three spots, but only 26 votes separated fourth-place finisher Michael Rein and Virginia Peschke.

Although making up 26 votes with provisional and late absentee ballots is a long shot, the final tally will be announced by the McHenry County Clerk later this week.

With only four of 29 precincts reporting, Peschke is in last place, although she's only trailing Rein by four votes.
