UPDATE: Prim Leads in McHenry County Sheriff Primary

With 100 percent of precincts reporting in McHenry County Tuesday, William Prim lead over Andrew Zinke in the Republican primary race for the McHenry County Sheriff, according to McVote.org.
With all of the 212 precincts reporting, Prim had 12,836 votes and Zinke had 12,431 votes, according to the unofficial results. 
This vote total does not include the 4,000 early absentee votes as well as provisional and late absentee votes, according to the Daily Herald.

The Republican primary for the McHenry County Sheriff race is close. 

With 164 of 212 precincts reporting, William Prim leads over Andrew Zinke with 51.05 percent of the votes, according to the McVote.org website. With 77 percent of votes in as of 9:15 p.m., Prim lead by 337 votes. 

Zinke, of Woodstock, is the Undersheriff in McHenry County and Prim, of Cary, is a court security officer in Lake County and a retired Des Plaines police commander, according to the Daily Herald.
