To the Editor:

Cameron Hubbard should be Crystal Lake residents’ choice for City Council.

Cameron is a dedicated leader in the community and only wants to see Crystal Lake grow and prosper. It is nice to see someone young, 28 years old, enthusiastic about helping out their community.

Cameron has grown up in Crystal Lake. I know this because he has been my closest friend and will be my best man at my upcoming wedding. He is a man of integrity and strong morals. He has a drive to do what is right and what is needed. He will serve this community and its members with class and dignity.

It is time to see Crystal Lake turn to one of its young leaders to help take us toward a brighter future.

Vote Cameron Hubbard on April 9.

Hubbard a wonderful asset

To the Editor:

I met Cameron Hubbard last year attending the 2012 Crystal Lake Leaders In Action workshop.

As emcee for the workshop, he introduced the presenters and encouraged the attendees to apply what they learned from each presenter in the form of homework assignments.

This year, I have had the pleasure of working with Cameron as a co-committee member in the Leaders in Action program. I have observed his leadership and public speaking skills, and am impressed. He has proved to be a wonderful asset to this committee.

He demonstrates a high level of integrity and has gone above and beyond the expectations within this role. He would make a wonderful City Council member.

Hubbard has fresh perspective

To the Editor:

Having lived in Crystal Lake since before Cameron Hubbard was born, I am glad to see him represent the next generation of leaders stepping up to serve in local politics.

Cameron is 28 years old and eager to learn and work hard to provide Crystal Lake with the best services possible. Cameron has been accessible and very open to working with others to find solutions. Although he is young, he brings a fresh perspective to working and living in Crystal Lake.

I look forward to seeing Cameron continue to work for the benefit of this community. I am going to vote for Cameron Hubbard for the Crystal Lake City Council on April 9, and I am asking for you to vote for him too.

Retain Hubbard in Crystal Lake

To the Editor:

Cameron Hubbard is a lifelong family friend of mine and resident of Crystal Lake.

His grandparents grew up alongside my own, and their strong work ethic and family values shine brightly today through Cameron’s actions and character.

Cameron Hubbard is the type of person who will give you the shirt off of his back. He is always willing to step forward as a leader and lend a hand to his friends and family. Now he would like to do the same for the community that raised him.

I am confident that Cameron will always strive to listen to the needs and concerns of residents in order to keep Crystal Lake a wonderful place to live. Therefore, I strongly believe that Cameron Hubbard should be retained as a member of the Crystal Lake City Council.

No better choice than Hubbard

In regards to the upcoming election, I would like to pay special note to Cameron Hubbard.

I've had the pleasure to work with Cameron through the Crystal Lake Chamber Young Professionals group. As a human resources professional, I have the knowledge of what it takes to be an extraordinary leader, and Cameron demonstrates those traits in all his work within our community.

Cameron is dedicated, committed and passionate about our thriving community in all capacities. As a leader, he exhibits a great level of self-awareness, collaboration and the social skills that help projects move forward. The intensity of his motivation to pursue goals related to the betterment of our community is exceptional.

There is no better choice for city council than Cameron Hubbard.

To the Editor:

Five years ago, my husband and I moved to Crystal Lake.

We grew up in Lake County and looked for a community that was safe and had good schools, and we also wanted a downtown district on the train line. Crystal Lake offered this, and we were happy to call it home.

I am proud and honored to call Cameron Hubbard a friend. There are many reasons to vote for Cameron on April 9. For me, it’s simple. I look at my 16-month-old and think of all the hopes and dreams I have for him. Then I think about Cameron, a young and bright leader who is a product of this great city. He now wants to serve Crystal Lake and raise his family here.

He is committed to make Crystal Lake great for generations to come and to attract families like mine to call Crystal Lake home.

Crystal Lake is my hometown, and although I no longer live here, I am actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce.

It is through the Chamber’s Leaders In Action program that I met Cameron Hubbard, a candidate for the Crystal Lake City Council.

What an addition Cameron would make to your City Council. He is thoughtful, decisive and willing to speak out or take a stand, whatever it takes. He has shown the kind of leadership and dedication that is uncommon today.

Our communities need strong, young minds like Cameron Hubbard’s to lead us into the future.

Cameron a consensus builder

To the Editor:

Voters have an opportunity to retain council member Cameron Hubbard – a young, energetic, fiscally responsible Crystal Lake resident.

I have known Cameron for 20 years. He is an involved community member, Eagle Scout, and a member of Crystal Lake Young Professionals.

When it comes to elected representation, we need an individual who can make sound decisions in the best interest of our city. I can think of no other person who would be better than Cameron at making informed, conscientious, rational decisions about our government policies.

Those of us who know him, know Cameron is a listener and a consensus builder. In these tough economic times, we need representation that will guide our city with sound fiscal policies. His professional experience as a financial consultant qualifies Cameron on these matters.

Let’s keep Crystal Lake a great place to live. Please vote for Cameron on April 9.

Rep. Tryon Endorses Hubbard

To the Editor:

I’m writing to give a resounding endorsement to Cameron Hubbard for Crystal Lake City Council.

Since being appointed to the council to fill an unexpired term, Cameron has shown himself to be an outstanding and level-headed voice for the people of Crystal Lake.

Cameron Hubbard is a prime example of how our Crystal Lake and the other municipalities in McHenry County need to embrace new young leaders who will carry on our local governments’ traditions of excellence.

Cameron brings a balanced vote to the City Council and will continue to be a prudent custodian of of tax dollars. It is without hesitation that I recommend the election of Cameron Hubbard to the Crystal Lake City Council.

I have served on numerous committees and many other projects with Cameron in the Crystal Lake Chamber. He is a bright, energetic and decisive leader. I have seen him be the first one to volunteer for the tough assignments. He does his homework and gets the job done.

Hubbard an Excellent Choice

To the Editor:

Cameron Hubbard, currently running for Crystal Lake City Council, is an excellent choice for the city. He is a fantastic role model and an asset to the community.

Cameron has experience within the business world and will use this to make fiscally responsible decisions. He is a member of many Crystal Lake committees and is a great leader who continues to motivate others to do their best.

Cameron and his family have roots in the community, which motivates him to continue to ensure that Crystal Lake remains such a great place to live.

I grew up in Crystal Lake and lived there most of my life. Although I do not currently reside in Crystal Lake, I understand what an amazing addition he would be to the Crystal Lake City Council.

Eagle Scout the Choice in Crystal Lake

To the Editor:

My name is Jay Dimopoulos. I am a First Class Scout from Troop 168, and I am writing to discuss why Cameron Hubbard is a great choice for Crystal Lake City Council.

Cam would be great because he is an Eagle Scout and uses the 12 points of the scout law in his everyday life. I have only a few of many examples.

Cam is trustworthy. You can always expect him to do as he promises. He is helpful. He will listen to the citizens of our wonderful city of Crystal Lake. He is loyal – a life long resident of Crystal Lake. Cam is always cheerful. He will do his job without complaining and with a smile on his face.

Now that you have heard about Cameron Hubbard, ask yourself, "Now wouldn't I want a great guy like Cam on our City Council?"

Bob Blazier Endorses "Young leader"

Rosemary and I were pleased when Cameron Hubbard was appointed to the Crystal Lake City Council. He is now a candidate for re-election on April 9. We support his candidacy.

Cameron is a young leader. His experience in business and the community prepares him for a positive role in the governance of Crystal Lake. In addition, his family roots are deep in the community. Cameron will continue to represent all of us as a member of the Crystal Lake City Council.
