The Crystal Lake Park District is hosting the 8th Annual Lake Planning and Management Meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 4, where data collected from the lake will be shared and explained.
Residents are invited to attend the gathering at the Crystal lake Park District Administrative Office, 1 E. Crystal Lake Ave.
"The purpose of the meeting is to share information, answer questions and concerns regarding Crystal Lake, offer an explanation of the Lake Management process, and provide an overview of what is planned for the future," said Jenny Leech, public information officer for the CLPD.
Hey and Associates, based in Volo, monitors many aspects of the lake - including water quality, water level, weed growth, and more.
The recent drought conditions, which have caused the lake to drop by more than two feet, is expected to be one of the topics of discussion.
Members of the community may contact CLPD Executive Director Jason Herbster at 815-459-0680, ext. 203 for more details.
