Fitzgerald Endorses McSweeney for State Rep
Former US Senator Peter Fitzgerald backs Republican nominee David McSweeney.
David McSweeney, the Republican nominee for State Representative in the 52nd district, is pleased to announce the support of Former United States Senator Peter Fitzgerald.
During his time in the U.S. Senate and his years in the Illinois Senate, Fitzgerald was known as a reformer and staunch proponent of ethics in government.
“David McSweeney is the type of person that we need in the Illinois House of Representatives. His commitment to reforming government and his work ethic will make him a great representative for the people of the 52nd District. There is much to do in Springfield and I’m confident that David McSweeney will be an independent reformer” said Senator Fitzgerald.
“I am honored to have the support of Senator Peter Fitzgerald. I will continue his legacy in the Illinois House and fight for real reform. Senator Fitzgerald never wavered on his principles and fought hard for lower taxes and less spending. That is the type of representative I will be in the Illinois House,” said McSweeney.
