Tryon has served in the General Assembly since 2004 and has been a member of numerous GA committees, he said. His previous district included McHenry County communities and that work often required collaboration with Kane County legislators and other elected officials, he said.

“Because the new district will include northern Kane County, the transition will be an easy one since I have already established strong working relationships with officials there,” he said.

“Illinois must start living within its means and paying down the debt,” he said. “Government must stop growing. When the private sector is contracting, the public sector should also contract. As a State Representative I have never voted in favor of an unbalanced budget and I have never supported any initiative that did not include a funding source.”
