Crystal Lake: Thursday Recycling Pickup Delayed Due to Storm
City of Crystal Lake issues notice that recycling pickup operations were suspended early Thursday due to the winter weather.
Due to the severe winter storm, Crystal Lake's refuse contractor, MDC Environmental Services, has suspended operations for Thursday, Feb. 7, according to Brad Mitchell, assistant to the Crystal Lake city manager.
MDC has completed all refuse collection for the Thursday routes, but about 50 percent of recycling was not collected, Mitchell said in a press release.

MDC will complete the Thursday recycling collection routes first thing in the morning on Friday, Feb. 8, and then conduct normal Friday routes, Mitchell said.
