CL Public Library Hosts Job Club, ACT Workshop and Bears Photo

Pose next to a Chicago Bears player image, enhance your employment search by attending the library's Job Club, or learn about ACT test-taking techniques.

Here's what's happening over at the Crystal Lake Public Library, 126 Paddock St., Crystal Lake:

Are you taller than Matt Forte, running back for the Chicago Bears? Stop by the Crystal Lake Public Library Youth Services Department to see for yourself.

The library has a life-sized poster of Forte, who stands 6-foot, 2-inches tall. Visitors can see how they size up next to the football star, and get a cool pic of themselves with the image (bring your own camera!).

Job Club

The next Job Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.

The gathering is a great opportunity for people to mingle with fellow job hunters, gather information and network in a supportive environment. The topic for Thursday's Job Club meeting is "Job Search Essentials" with Jim Zalesky.
