CL Public Library Hosts Job Club, ACT Workshop and Bears Photo

The library has a life-sized poster of Forte, who stands 6-foot, 2-inches tall. Visitors can see how they size up next to the football star, and get a cool pic of themselves with the image (bring your own camera!).

Job Club

The next Job Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. 

The gathering is a great opportunity for people to mingle with fellow job hunters, gather information and network in a supportive environment. The topic for Thursday's Job Club meeting is "Job Search Essentials" with Jim Zalesky.

ACT Test Strategies Workshop 101

Workshop meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.

Parents and students can learn how to score higher on admissions tests using key Kaplan strategiesduringthisone-hourworkshop. The format and content of the test are explored, including ways to take advantage of the test format to maximize efficiency on the exam. Various question types are reviewed and answered and students and parents are given a study plan for success. This is an ideal follow-up seminar to a practice test.
