Crystal Lake Park District Needs Business Participants for 'Truck or Treat'

The Crystal Lake Park District is hosting the annual Truck or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 13.

 

The 's annual Truck or Treat event is a big hit with the kids in the community.

This year's Truck or Treat is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 13, at Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Dr., Crystal Lake.

And, to make it possible, the park district is seeking the help of local businesses and organizations that have vehicles to display.

Vehicles may include - but are not limited to - large trucks, tractors, or any other type of vehicle or piece of equipment suitable for display. Vehicles or equipment children can sit in are ideal, but not required for display, according to a press release issued by Connie Cooke, of the CLPD.

Truck or Treat is a free event open to children and their families. Children dressed in Halloween costumes trick or treat for candy and prizes from truck to truck at the event; take pictures at Halloween displays; and enjoy morning of free family fun.

All vehicles and equipment need to be at Main Beach for set-up between 8:30-9:00 a.m. on the day of the event.

There is no fee to participate, but businesses need to bring their own candy, or prizes to hand out. Any businesses or organizations interested in setting up a truck or equipment display should contact Connie Cooke at (815) 459-0680, ext. 213 or via e-mail at ccooke@crystallakeparks.org.
