City of Crystal Lake offers Christmas Tree Recycling Starting Monday

The city's garbage contractor, MDC Environmental Services, will begin collecting trees on Monday, Dec. 31.

 

The City of Crystal Lake has announced a recycling program for Christmas trees.

MDC Environmental Services, the city's refuse contractor, will conduct Christmas tree recycling from Monday, Dec. 31, through Friday, Jan. 11, according to the city.

Crystal Lake residents should place their Christmas tree at the curbside before 7 a.m. on their regular trash collection day, and the Christmas tree will be removed for composting within 48 hours, according to the city.
