Cary: March Primary 2012 Election Results

A record setting day. High temperatures and low voter-turnouts.

The Illinois Primary is over. Voters made it clear that they want to be the Republican nominee in the general presidential election in November.

According to the Huffington Post, Romney won the Illinois Republican primary Tuesday night, claiming a majority of the state's delegates and moving closer to his party's nomination.

Cary residents have granted the village authority to bundle — or aggregate — residential and small retail electric accounts together to buy electricity at a group rate.

The “Yes” votes won with 1,181 votes or 54 percent and  the “No’s” lost with 866 votes or 46 percent.

However, don’t fret, residents still have the opportunity to opt-out the electrical aggregation program.

Kenneth Koehler, Donna Kurtz, Carolyn Schofield and James Heisler won the four spots on the Republican side of the McHenry County Board District 2 race.

In a very tight race, to grab the fourth spot in the race for the Republican side of the McHenry County Board District 3.

Unless the provisional and late absentee ballots give Donner a huge boost, McClellan will join Joseph Gottemoller, Nick Provenzano and Michael Walkup on the Republican ticket for the McHenry County Board District 3.

Eight candidates were vying for four seats in the race.
