New Rate, Pay Stations at Commuter Lots Begins May 1

Parking fee increases from $1.25 to $1.50, Monday through Friday starting Tuesday.

Cary commuters will use new pay stations and pay a new rate beginning on May 1.

The pay stations are designed to make payment for daily parking in the commuter lots more convenient and efficient, a village of Cary press release said.

Commuters will pay for their daily parking fee with cash, coin or a credit/debit card

Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted credit/debit cards. The new pay stations will no longer accept the Debit Parking Card.

Another feature that increases the convenience of paying or daily fee parking is the ability to pay on-line

Commuters can use the Parkmobile software application on their computer or cell phone devices and pay for their parking from the comfort of their train seat or office.

No more rushing to make the train and forgetting to pay, commuters can go to www.parkmobile.com or call (877) 727-5004 and pay for their parking.

Parkmobile charges a 37 cents convenience fee, which is in addition to the daily parking fee.

Village staff and other personnel will be on-site at the north and south commuter parking lots to assist commuters with the new pay machines and to collect and process the Debit Parking Card refunds.

Those commuters who still have a balance on their Debit Parking Card will receive a cash refund from the Village for the balance remaining on their cards.  These refunds will be processed on the following dates:

  • Monday, April 30 - 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday, May 1 - 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

After May 1, refunds may be obtained at Cary Village Hall, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
