Accusations Fly Between Walsh, Duckworth

With the election just four days away, Congressman Joe Walsh and his opponent Tammy Duckworth are doing all they can to discredit each other.

With the November 6 election just days away, the barbs between incumbent Congressman Joe Walsh and his opponent Tammy Duckworth appear to be at a fever pitch.

Walsh has called into question Duckworth's firing of two state employees when she ran the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, CBS reports. Duckworth has commented little as she has said the case is still in litigation

Duckworth has pointed the finger as well.

In a press release from her campaign office Thursday, Duckworth criticized Walsh for his alleged association with the group Now or Never, for spending $1 million against her campaign.

She referred the group as a "Super PAC completely funded by the far-right wing organization Americans for Limited Government," according to the release.

Walsh came back by stating that Duckwoth recently benefitted form a $2.4 million attack ad purchased by a House Majority PAC, stating through a press release from Walsh for Congress, "Tammy Duckworth has spent much of her campaign grandstanding against Super PACs......her own contributors are bankrolling the very same Super PAC."

Walsh has also accused Duckworth of extravagent spending when she was assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, citing a trip to Hawaii that cost the department $2.5 million.

Don't forget to vote November 6.

These ads make me sick. They all act like 2 year olds. Do any of them have an ounce of dignity?

If you had followed Joes Campaign with M. Bean he was all about the issues. He continued to fearlessly work on the issues until Tammy rolled into town with her re-drawn district map in hand and started making low-ball claims against Joe. If you are sick of the rhetoric look to Tammy for that. Joe nearly had to defend the slings. Listen to the debates yourselves. If you don't listen to the debates and prefer to get twisted soundbites from the media.... you're doing it to yourselves.
