Woodstock Teen Seriously Injured In Crash

A 16-year old Woodstock male was flown to Condell Medical Center after accident.

A Woodstock teen was seriously injured in a crash in unincorporated Woodstock, Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release from McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren, the accident happened on June 20 at approximately 1:34 p.m.  The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Woodstock Fire Protection District and Flight for Life responded to the scene at Queen Anne Road at Williams Court in unincorporated Woodstock. 

According to the report, a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed southbound on Queen Anne Road when the vehicle left the southbound lane and exited the roadway to the east. The vehicle then traveled southbound along the east side ditch and stuck a tree at the intersection of Queen Anne Road and Williams Court.

The 16-year old male driver was treated at the scene and flown to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was listed in serious condition. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the news release.

The crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit.
