Woodstock Man, Carpentersville Woman Arrested on Heroin Charges

Police arrested a 33-year-old Woodstock man and a 26-year-old Carpentersville woman today at a home in the 12000 block of Rodgers Road in unincorporated Woodstock for possessing heroin. 

Philip J. Motroni, of 12308 Roger Road Woodstock, and Amanda C. Graves, of 114 Woodland Court #29 in Carpentersville, are both charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe and needle, according to the news release. 

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office, the K-9 unit and the Intelligence Led Policing Unit assisted the Illinois Department of Corrections with a search of the home after receiving a tip that the residents were in possession of heroin, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office press release.

The search turned up one gram of heroin and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.  The sheriff’s office estimates the street value of the narcotics seized to be approximately $100.00.

Both are expected in court at 9 a.m. on Jan. 30.
