Woman Gets 6 Years For Role In Crystal Lake Robbery

A Wauconda woman was given six years in prison for her part in the robbery of a Crystal Lake salon, the Northwest Herald reported.

Monica A. Cabral, 20, pleaded guilty Friday to charges stemming from the robbery of a salon in Crystal Lake and received six years in prison, the Northwest Herald reported.

Cabral, of Wauconda, was in connection with several armed robberies in the Chicago area. The others charged were: Eliu Villicana-Mancilla, 26, 2619 S. Pulaski, Chicago; Jose M. Villicana-Mancilla, 23, 2505 S. Springfield, Chicago; Joaquin Lopez, 20, 4745 N. Sacramento, Chicago; and Christian Martinez-Guererro, 18, 116 W. Church, Wauconda.

In McHenry County, the group was believed to have been responsible for .

The Northwest Herald reported that Cabral pleaded guilty to armed robbery and aggravated unlawful restraint. The newspaper reported that as part of the plea, Cabral must testify truthfully against the other defendants.
