Patrick Finlon, 53, of Cary, will become the village's new police chief, the Northwest Herald reports. Finlon is a 23-year resident of Cary, and retired as Lake Zurich's police chief on Nov. 25.
Finlon is expected to take over as Cary's chief on Jan. 6, and will receive a $110,000 annual salary, the Herald reports. The Cary Village Board is expected to vote on his contract agreement this Tuesday.
Finlon is replacing Cary's former police chief Steven Casstevens, who resigned in May to become Buffalo Grove's police chief.
