Detectives followed him as he continued to disobey traffic laws, said Balmes. They stopped him at 7:15 p.m., Nov. 30, near Route 12 and Quentin Road for not signaling before turning

Walker’s actions were highly suspicious, alerting detectives to request a K9 from Palatine Police Department, Balmes said.

Prior to the K9’s arrival, Walker told detectives he had ecstasy pills inside the vehicle. A total of 342 ecstasy pills and $273 was confiscated.  Walker stated he delivered the pills for an unknown subject from Chicago, according to the release.

Walker was arrested for one count unlawful possession of controlled substance, one count unlawful delivery of controlled substances, and various traffic offenses.

Walker’s 2005 GMC Sierra is pending forfeiture pursuant to the Illinois Controlled Substances Act.

Walker’s jail bond was set at $100,000. He was released from custody after posting 10 percent of the required bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 12.
