Sheriff's Deputies Bust Crystal Lake Teen Party

Deputies break up two separate underage drinking parties, including one in Crystal Lake.

A teenage party where alcohol was being consumed was broken up by sheriff's deputies over the weekend.

was called just before 10 p.m. Nov. 5 to a possible underage drinking party in the 7400 block of W. Hillside Road in .

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies found a “teenage” party in the basement where alcohol was being consumed by some in attendance. Two teens in attendance were cited for underage consumption of alcohol with Notice to Appear citations.

Parents of those attending the party were contacted and the children were then released into their custody.

Sheriff's Deputies also were called to a loud party in the 18300 block of Church Road in unincorporated Marengo just before 10 p.m. Nov. 4.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies made contact with several juveniles who provided identification. Several students then told deputies they had been drinking.

A total of six Notice to Appear citations were issued to those underage that were drinking. All parents of juveniles in attendance were contacted and then released to their custody.
