Pregnant Woman, Man Sent to Hospital After Randall Road Crash

A man had to be extricated from a car, and a pregnant woman was sent to the hospital as a precaution following a two-car accident on Randall Road in Algonquin.

A pregnant woman and a man were sent to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin for treatment following a two-car accident at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway in Algonquin at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Northwest Herald reports. 

The Randall Road and Corporate Parkway intersection is one of the entrances to the Algonquin Commons shopping center. 

The accident happened when a car traveling south on Randall Road drove through a red light, and collided with an SUV attempting to turn left on a green light arrow. The man was extricated from his 1989 Eagle Talon, and suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries. The pregnant woman was transported to the hospital as a precaution, the Herald story said.
