UPDATE: Missing Ingleside Man Contacts Family

Eric Walleck, an Ingleside man reported missing this past week, called a family member from a phone in Texas and requested money so he could get home, according to the Daily Herald.

He will remain listed as a missing person until police can verify his safety, according to the article. 

Before the phone call, the police said the man, who has a history of mental health issues, was last heard from Sunday night, according to the Daily Herald. His father told police that Walleck said masked men came into his apartment on Saturday and threatened him, according to the Lake County News-Sun.

Police are searching for a missing 40-year-old Ingleside with a history of mental health issues who was last heard from Sunday night, according to the Daily Herald. 
As of early Wednesday, police had used a K-9 unit and Air One helicopter to search the area for Eric Walleck, of the 500 block of Lincoln Ave. in Ingleside, but did not turn up any leads, according to the Lake County News-Sun. 

Walleck is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, tattoos on both shoulders and his right forearm and is 5-feet, 8-inches, according to the Daily Herald. His father told police that his son said masked men came into his apartment on Saturday and threatened him, according to the Lake County News-Sun.
