Police Blotter: Theft and Alcohol Offenses

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Crystal Lake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. 

ALCOHOL 

Christian Theodore Fitzgerald, 40, 5922 Tomlinson Dr., Crystal Lake, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 on July 10. He was released on $300 bond and an Aug. 23 court date.

Robin Nicole Hemmeter, 25, 410 Magnolia, McHenry, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 and improper lane usage on July 10. She was released on $300 bond and an Aug. 16 court date.

Luis Bernal, 28, 355 N. Iowa Ave., Villa Park, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance, improper passing and two counts of improper lane usage on July 11. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and given an Aug 23 court date.

Terry Lee Barlas, 48, 617 Edwards St., #1E, West Dundee, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol on July 12. He was released on a notice to appear and an Aug. 23 court date.

THEFT 

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with theft $500 and under and theft from a motor vehicle on June 18. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date to be set. 

A 13-year-old juvenile was charged with attempted theft from a motor vehicle and curfew violation on July 7. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date to be set. 

A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with attempted theft from a motor vehicle and curfew violation on July 7. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date to be set. 

Ramona C. Kochis, 65, 1138 N. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights, was charged with retail theft on July 11. She was released on $150 bond and an Aug. 16 court date.
