Police Blotter: DUIs, Production of Cannabis

Crystal Lake Police release reports from May 17-28.

Production of Cannabis

Jordan M. Herrera, 21, 60 Maple St., Crystal Lake, was arrested May 24, and charged with one count of growing less than five cannabis plants and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Herrera was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. June 26.

Outstanding Warrant

Michael T. Specht, 49, with no known address, was arrested May 21 and charged with one count of an outstanding in-state warrant and one count of criminal damage to property. Specht was turned over to the Hoffman Estates Police Department and is awaiting a court date.

DUI

Sharon Schroeder, 53, 1000 Oak Valley Dr., Cary, was arrested May 25 and charged with one count of driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound, according to police reports. Schroeder posted bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. June 12.  

Matthew Leo Burns, 29, 191 Prairie St., Crystal Lake, was arrested May 26 and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Burns posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. June 26.

Operating Uninsured Vehicle

Jeremy D. Becker, 32, 3022 Max Ct., Island Lake, was arrested May 25 and charged with one count of driving on a suspended drivers license, one count of failure to notify the state of an address change, and one count of operating an uninsured vehicle. Becker posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. June 19.

Manuel Ortiz-Lopez, 51, 92 Elmhurst St. 2B, Crystal Lake, was arrested May 28, and charged with one count of driving without a valid drivers license, one count of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and one count of disregarding a traffic signal. Lopez is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. June 19.
