Police Blotter: Battery, DUI and Theft

Battery and DUI

Henry Araujo, 30, 2057 W. Hebron, Carrollton, Texas, was arrested at 3:13 a.m. April 22, on charges of battery and driving under the influence.

Burglary

Police received a complaint at 7:30 a.m. April 11, that unknown persons entered a 2006 Ford parked in the driveway in the 300 block of Crest Drive. The homeowner reported that $162 in cash was taken from a purse in the car. The purse and other items were not stolen.

A GPS unit and charger valued at $150 were reported stolen at 3:40 p.m. April 11, from a 2010 Ford van parked in the 300 block of Crest Drive.

Outstanding Warrant

Christopher J. Church, 25, 339 Carl Sands Rd., Cary, was arrested April 12, and charged on an instate-warrant after he was stopped at Wooded Knoll and Decker drives, according to police reports. Police had received a call regarding a suspicious person in the area.

Theft

A homeowner in the 20 block of Rosewood Court reported at 9:15 a.m. April 13 that someone stole a boys BMX bike from the front porch. The bike was valued at $100.

A General Electric stove and stainless steel refrigerator were reported stolen at 4:50 p.m. April 17, from a home in the 400 block of Geneva. The loss was estimated at $2,500, police reports state.

Theft of Gasoline

An attendant at Thornton’s Gas Station, 800 Northwest Hwy., reported at 8:27 p.m. April 14 that a man exited the station without paying for $54.69 worth of gas. The offender was located and returned to pay the bill. No complaint was signed, police said.
