6 Men Arrested for Making Drug Sales from Harvard Area Bars

Sheriff's deputies arrested eight Harvard men on drug-related charges and are looking for two additional Harvard residents wanted on drug charges.

Six Harvard residents were arrested this past week following a one-year investigation into a local street gang.

The gang members were conducting drug sales out of Harvard-area bars, according to a McHenry County Sheriff's Office news release. 

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, which includes members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department, and the Harvard Police Department conducted undercover surveillance over the course of a year, according to the news release.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, the Harvard Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Marshal Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force conducted a search warrant at KB’s Bar, 71 Ayer St., Harvard and served arrest warrants on six of eight suspects. 

The Harvard Police Department also confiscated the liquor license for KB’s Bar, pending a future hearing, according to the news release.

Police recovered 65 grams of cocaine, two codeine pills and $1,647. The sheriff's office estimates the street value of the narcotics seized in this investigation to be approximately $6,500.

The following Harvard residents were arrested: 

  • Nicholas M. Stegg, 22, of 310 1/2 N. Hart St. in Harvard, was arrested for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. A $150,000 bond was set. 

  • Juan Oros, 20, of 16104 McGuire Rd. in Harvard, was arrested and charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $100,000. 

  • Roger Gonzalez, 47, of 102 Church St. in Harvard, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Bond was set at $150,000. 

  • Kelli N. Figueroa, 31, of 506 N. 2nd St. in Harvard, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Bond was set at $150,000. 

  • Kelly N. Bush, 36, of 714 Casey Ln. in Harvard, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Bond was set at $100,000. 

  • Aaron A. Brennecka, 22, of 804 W. Metzen St. in Harvard, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Bond was set at $150,000. 
The sheriff's office is still seeking two suspects and is asking for the public's assistance in locating the individuals. Anyone with information should contact the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office at 815-338-2144, or McHenry County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-762-STOP (7867).

The following individuals are wanted by the Harvard Police Department: 

  • Antonio M. Figueruo, 31, of 506 2nd St. in Harvard, is wanted on a charge of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. 

  • William Gonzalez, 38, of 102 Church St. in Harvard, is wanted on charge of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
