Oakwood Hills Man Pleads Guilty to Sexually Assaulting Child; Sentenced to 15 Years

Mark J. Kochis, 46, of Oakwood Hills, plead guilty to two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault involving a 4-year-old girl.

Oakwood Hills resident Mark J. Kochis, 46, of the 200 block of Meadow Ln., pleaded guilty in court on Monday to two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, the Northwest Herald reports. A judge sentenced Kochis to 15 years in prison, and set the condition that Kochis serve at least 85 percent, the equivalent of 13 years, of the sentence.

Kochis was arrested in October 2012, after his former wife found him naked in bed with a 4-year-old girl who was spending the night at their house, the Herald reports. Prosecutors said some of the sexual assaults were recorded on video tape, or photographed by Kochis.
