McHenry Man Charged with Sexual Assault

Ryan J. Frazier, 31, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, McHenry County Sheriff police said.

 

A McHenry man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren said.

Ryan J. Frazier, 31, 5323 Meadow St., McHenry, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault on a child, a Class X felony, according to a press release issued by Nygren.

On Tuesday, sheriff investigators received information from the Twin Lakes Police Department in Wisconsin indicating a child under the age of 13 had been sexually abused by Frazier at his home in unincorporated McHenry, Nygren said in the release.

With the assistance of the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County, an interview was conducted with the victim who disclosed the abuse, Nygren said. A subsequent interview was conducted with Frazier who admitted to sexually assaulting the child in October 2012, police said.

Frazier was taken into custody on November 7, 2012, and is currently being held in the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility. Bond was set at $150,000, and Frazier is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13.
